The Chanel Spring Look

GLIMMER TWIN There was a lot of talk this season about a pale face as the futuristic pallor, but it’s spring, after all, and the virtues of a tan are not easily surrendered. Chanel showed tawny, matte skin with liquid metallic eyes, which the makeup artist Tracy Murphy calls a ‘‘lovely contrast of textures.’’ Murphy suggests dusting the face with translucent face powder like Cover FX Mineral FX to create a smooth, shinefree base before applying a sheer bronzer (try Benefit Hoola) on those spots where the sun naturally hits. Metallic eye makeup should be purposefully imperfect: a silver or gold shadow like Chanel Lumière D’Artifices brushed on the upper and lower lash line with a damp brush for extra intensity. A few strokes of a dense mascara — Dior Diorshow Unlimited — and a sheer lip gloss — Cargo Lip Gloss Duo in Okeechobee — and you’re ready for your close-up.

I don't understand how women choose those metalics, silver and goldish shades this season. Makes me feel as a hero in action movi or space character. Looks trashy

A friend told me that even the Crocs in silver and golden were windblown from the shoe racks of the stores.
